For your home

The process of making a felted rug
The process of felting a vegetarian rug is very labor intensive, and part of this is the gentle combing and cleaning of the fleece. However some small particles of dried grass may remain.
About the Sheep
This is from a Hebridean Ewe. She is a very rare sheep, with prized wool. The rug is made only from her wool, so she is alive and well, gently roaming on our hill farm.
About the Shearing process
Our sheep are all sheared by hand, on our family farm by a professional shearer, to minimise the stress to the animal. Shearing is a very important process that helps the sheep by removing last year's wool growth and ensuring that the sheep does not get too hot which can lead to iIllness.

The funny thing about Moorit Sheep
The funny thing about Moorit (brown) sheep is that on our farm, at least they stick together in a group. Even if they are in a larger flock of sheep, when you need to move them or there is any danger, the Moorits will always be together.
